Types of Training

So there are two different types of training products that we offer:

  1. Synchronous Training, which is with an instructor leading a training either face-to-face or live virtually, and we can be eyeball-to-eyeball with our participants to check for understanding.

  2. Office Minded Asynchronous, which is an on-demand tool that you can use just like you would on Google, but it's much more focused.

With our office minded product, you have a couple of options: you can just take a whole class which is broken into two minute chunks, you can attend live events, or you could even utilize the built-in help desk. We love the variety of options and ways to get the answers someone is looking for. That way when your employees– whether they're on site or they're working from home– have questions, they have a resource to go to for answers. Whether it's the Asynchronous version of asking for help through Office Minded or calling in to our help desk, they’ll be able to find an answer.

But Asynchronous training can't stand alone. What I watch when I'm training is I'm looking for understanding and that they can actually apply what they've learned to their work situation. There are a ton of great training organizations out there that have a standardized curriculum

and takes people through so they learn all of the concepts. I love that but for me, that's not enough. I am the person who wants you to translate what you've just learned about a particular concept into,” how would you do it in your role, with your files, to get the outcomes that you're trying to achieve?”

Leadership has expectations of what people should be able to do after a training and without helping translate from concept to application to their particular work, we're really missing something– and that's what the Synchronous difference is.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it a thousand more times, every keystroke costs money. My mission here is to make you and your team feel comfortable in any Microsoft products, to learn how to make their job more efficient, and to create a Microsoft community within your organization. From small group training and other skills to brush-up on, to more in-depth Microsoft training, please feel free to reach out with any questions or inquiries you might have.
