Introducing OnZoom from Zoom!

In late 2020, Zoom announced the Zoom marketplace called OnZoom

OnZoom is an immersive, collaboration-centered platform designed to promote community engagement. OnZoom is an “event discovery and monetization” platform that will make it easier to find virtual events in a whole range of categories, says Zoom — from cooking classes to lectures to stand-up and more. Basically, any event or activity you might already have been doing through Zoom (or other videoconferencing software) will be available, with built-in tools for selling tickets, scheduling, and promotion.

Organizers will need a paid Zoom account to host events, but anyone can watch them. The number of attendees, though, will be limited by the organizer’s paid account, up to a maximum of 1,000 attendees. Payments will be processed through PayPal or by credit card, and tickets to events can be purchased as gifts. OnZoom is currently available in the US as a beta and will expand globally sometime in 2021.

"We were humbled and inspired by all of the amazing ways the world adapted to a literal shutdown of in-person events amid COVID-19. When business owners, entrepreneurs, and organizations of all sizes had to find some way - any way - to stay the course and continue providing services to their customers, many turned to Zoom," Zoom explained. "OnZoom simplifies that experience."

What is OnZoom?

In short, Zoom added event discovery and monetization features to our industry-leading video platform to simplify how you adapt traditionally in-person events, free or paid, into engaging online experiences.

The OnZoom platform specifically helps businesses and entrepreneurs:

  • Schedule and host one-time events, an event series, and drop-ins for up to 1,000 attendees (depending on your Zoom Meeting license)

  • List and sell tickets

  • Share and promote public events via email and social media

  • Reach new audiences beyond a business geographical location

Zoom users can log in to their OnZoom account and:

  • Search the directory of public events and purchase tickets online

  • Pay for events via PayPal and major credit cards

  • Purchase and gift OnZoom tickets to their friends and family

  • Natively donate to nonprofit organizations through events with active fundraisers (powered by Pledgeling)

  • Join an event

  • Favorite, share, and rate events

This is quite exciting for creatives and entrepreneurs from all walks of life - there is now an official place to share and market your event on a very familiar platform.

We will be hosting our first event on the OnZoom platform on Monday, January 18. As part of our #Trimyourinboxchallenge, we invite you to attend the live Q&A webinar with our founder and owner Jennifer Buchholz. During this webinar, Jennifer will answer all your questions from the challenge and share a few other tips and tricks for keeping your inbox slim!
